Advantages and limits I have been able to check
Which gave me confidence
Being able to withdraw cash gave me confidence to contribute more. The October’s €150 withdrawal and the historical outflows put figures to that part of the experience.
The monthly statements let me track interest received alongside fees and withholding taxes. That is the part I can describe in more detail; movements before 2025 have not yet been reviewed.
Which limits those results
Late funds and outstanding payments are part of my account. While I wait for your recovery, that money is not available for my expenses. I cannot take gross interest as a final benefit either: there are costs, taxes and valuation changes to take into account.
Most of the value of my account is in loans. Having several classes of assets on the Mintos menu does not mean that my portfolio is balanced between them. the distribution of my investments you see the actual weight of each product.
Is Mintos safe? What protection exists
Mintos is an investment company supervised by Latvijas Banka, the central bank of Latvia. investor protection documentation explains the separation of customer assets and the applicable compensation system.
This system provides for up to 20,000 € for certain obligations that Mintos has failed to fulfil towards the investor. Does not cover default losses of borrower, lender or issuer, price changes or market failure to sell. Being regulated does not convert loans into guaranteed capital.
Officially revised sources on 10 October 2026. To read my experience, that difference is essential: having collected interest or having withdrawn cash does not eliminate the risk of the money that continues to be invested. risk guide develops capital risk, liquidity and concentration.
One full month: September 2026
In September I charged 262.74 € of interest. When subtracting 9.82 € of fees and 13.13 € of withholdings remain 239.79 €. That subtraction describes these charges; the total result of the investment also requires losses, valuation changes and other movements.
The September balance sheet shows the original categories and movements. The breakdown of fees and outstanding payments complete the reading.
Why I Was Increasing Investment
Once I checked that, in my experience, withdrawing money from Mintos was simple, I decided to contribute more capital. I sought to increase the income I received every month. Experience with withdrawals influenced that decision and gave me confidence to continue using the platform.
In 2025 I contributed 8,000 € in January, another 10,000 € in March and 10,000 € in August. In total they were 28,000 € of new money during that year. The diary starts in January because it is as far as we have been able to review the extracts; my experience with Mintos comes from before.
I wanted to charge more interest, and to try to put more money into the account. That also means that I have more capital exposed. By comparing one month’s payments with another, I need to remember those contributions and the time that has passed since I made them.
The article on my contributions develops this decision and links the three-month balance sheets.
What I could check with the retreats
I have brought together the documented withdrawals and the April example: withdrawing €300 does not mean having earned €300. The article separates my experience of money reaching the bank from what the monthly statements establish.
Proving a withdrawal was important to me: checking that it was easy to make money encouraged me to continue contributing. To tell that first test with all its details I still have to locate its date and its amount.
In my case, the transfers usually arrive at the bank on the same day. Sometimes I have had the money in the account in just one or two hours. That time frame describes my cash transfers to the bank; not the time needed to sell investments or recover back funds, nor a guaranteed time frame for another person.
In 2025, I withdrew €200.00, and in the reviewed period of 2026, €1,485.42. October 2026 includes the €150 outflow I confirmed on 2 November. Monthly amounts alone do not indicate how long each transfer took to reach the bank.
This distinction matters for my goal of getting an extra income: it is one thing to receive interest within the platform and another to have that money out of it. The amount invested, the cash available and the pending funds have different situations.
How I read every month’s income
In January 2025 I collected 34.01 € interest. In December it was 318.91 €. That increase connects with what I was looking for by contributing more, although between a month and another there was also more money invested and it had been more time. To understand how the investment was I need to look at all that journey.
From January 2025 through 2 November 2026, I have received €5,074.70 of interest. I include regular interest, buyback interest, late-payment interest, Smart Cash and real estate interest when present. I do not count contributions or returned principal as income.
In order to evaluate a monthly income, I would like to distinguish from where the collection comes from, what period it covers and if it can be compared with the previous month. An amount received for repurchase or for a late payment can concentrate payments in one month. The total alone does not show that it will be repeated with the same regularity.
In chronology you can explore that evolution and open up each balance sheet. The Guide to Reading Results explains why the euro charged and annual profitability are different measures.
Extra income also has costs
Of the €5,074.70 of interest in the records, identified fees total €171.18 and withholding taxes €251.23. Subtracting them leaves €4,652.29. That is what remains of these payments after those two cost categories, before the final tax adjustment and other components of the investment result.
And here comes the Treasury. If you are a tax resident in Spain, the interest of Mintos Loan Notes is included in the income as return on capital, within the base of savings. That the platform is outside Spain does not leave them out. Leaving them in Mintos or reinvesting them does not prevent such taxation either.
Mintos holding a part doesn't mean it's all paid for in Spain. The declaration is based on gross interest before withholding and reviews whether the application of the international double taxation deduction This deduction has requirements and limits; the withholding does not guarantee that the income will automatically be refunded or deducted from all Spanish tax. Mintos annual tax report helps to verify and justify these amounts.
The tax-return guide explains taxation by tax year. A withholding tax in a statement is not the final tax and does not imply every fee is deductible.
The breakdown of fees shows this account visually and explains its scope.
Delays are also part of my experience
The dashboard of 2 November 2026 shows €330.87 in pending payments and €3,401.68 in “Overdue” funds. This is the part of my account that concerns me: continuing to receive interest does not make those amounts available.
In my delay tracking I compare Nera Capital and MFO FintechFinance balances, with observations from October and 2 November 2026. Recovery estimates remain estimates; I treat pending money as neither a definitive loss nor a guaranteed payment.
What I look at when reviewing the account
- What I have received after the identified fees and withholding taxes.
- Which money is available, which is still invested and which is still pending.
- Whether a change comes from a contribution, a payment received or a market valuation.

Usual questions when searching for opinions from Mintos
Is it worth investing in Mintos?
My experience makes it possible to check interest payments and cash withdrawals, along with costs and arrears. These results are not enough to decide for another person. Before investing you have to assess the risk of losing capital, how long the investment can be maintained and what happens if the money takes time to recover. Loans require a different assessment from a guaranteed capital product.
What real profitability did I get?
In this website I separate the interest collected, the fees, the withholdings and the result shown by Mintos. There are still no historical valuations and extracts prior to 2025 to reconstruct the entire route. That is why I do not present the sum of interest as an annual profitability or as a final profit. How to read the results Explains those differences.
Can you withdraw all the money immediately?
Available cash and invested money have different situations. My transfers to the bank describe the withdrawal of cash; they do not prove that I can recover back investments or funds at the moment. The exit conditions depend on the product and the portfolio. You can review how balances and withdrawals work.
Does the 20,000 € protection cover a loan that is not paid?
No. The compensation scheme does not cover the default of the borrower, lender or issuer. safety and security links the official explanation and its limits.
Are these opinions sponsored by Mintos?
Creditplan participates in Mintos’ affiliate programme. Promotional links have been paused since 3 November 2026. The paid partnership and financial interest are explained in Transparency. The figures on this page come from my account and their limits are in Methodology.
